Experienced Paralegal Available for Contract Work and Court Appointments in Texas

Robin Keating completed her Paralegal Certification course through Texas Christian University in 2018. Since that time, she has acquired over four years of experience working in a criminal defense firm. Much of her time at the firm was spent writing detailed evidence and records reviews to assist the attorney in handling various misdemeanor and felony cases.
Prior to becoming a paralegal, Robin completed her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2006 and worked as a medical social worker in various healthcare fields for 15 years. During this time she gained valuable experience reviewing and interpreting medical records and understanding medical terminology.
Robin has been a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for almost 20 years. She maintains her license to this day and continues to uphold the standard of ethics the license requires. She is able to handle confidential information with the utmost care and works in a timely, diligent manner to provide high quality reviews.
Robin obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from Texas Christian University in 1997. She went on to work for Child Protective Services as an investigator for over three years, giving her experience in investigative methods and knowledge of CPS practices. Summarizing CPS records is frequently part of her work when writing evidence reviews for criminal defense cases.

Robin's evidence reviews often include AI-generated transcripts of pertinent interviews and body camera videos (which can be fully manually verified and corrected if requested). Important interactions are always manually verified for completeness and accuracy.
However, Robin also finds things that AI tools simply cannot identify. Things like improper handling of DWI blood kits by applying the label to the wrong tube or writing on the top of the tube with an alcohol-based sharpie pen. She notes when body language is inconsistent with what would be normal under the situation. In one case she noticed a complaining witness was communicating non-verbally using ASL to someone on her phone. Translation of that interaction was extremely valuable to the case.
She regularly finds inconsistencies between what an officer writes in his report and what is shown on the video. She knows which portions of the video are important for each type of case. Due to her experience helping attorneys prepare for several trials, she knows what's important to the attorney.
Robin's evidence reviews include a detailed summary of every piece of evidence she is asked to review. Summaries of videos and audio recordings include time-stamped notes for all important sections of each video to save the attorney time in locating the important events when they review the evidence for themselves.
